Sample Letter to Congress for Infrastructure Improvements

As I discussed on a recent podcast, I have submitted requests to our Congressional delegation for funding for some of our large infrastructure projects. Your reinforcement of my requests would be most helpful in urging our Senators and Representative to advocate for these projects for our city. Please use the following letters to seek their support.

Mayor Neil Perry of Methuen recently submitted a list of infrastructure projects to your office for consideration for federal funding. As a constituent of yours, I respectfully request that you make every effort to see to it that Methuen be given strong consideration for approval of these key projects.

As you know, Methuen is an older community with aging infrastructure. These projects will address water and sewer issues that have been severely neglected due to staggering repair costs.
