The City of Methuen is seeking qualification statements & proposals from qualified vendors to undertake a subscription-based curbside collection service of food waste/organic materials from participating Methuen households.  Responses must be received at the Office of City Clerk, Searles Building/City Hall. 41 Pleasant St., Methuen, MA 01844, on or before 12 pm Noon Wednesday, February 4th, 2026.   

The City of Methuen will award a preferred vendor contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose offer meets the stated requirements for project experience providing similar food waste collection/composting service in other communities, , qualifications, project approach, and client references, and the lowest price. 

 The Request for Qualifications (RFQ), containing minimum requirements and evaluation criteria for scope of work, vendor qualifications, quality of proposal & education plan, business plan viability, and pricing/incentives to and response requirements will be available after 8 A.M., Tuesday, January 6th, 2025 via download at www.methuen.gov/purchasing.
