Water Department
The City of Methuen Water Department is a division of the Department of Public Works. The Water Department services, inspects, repairs and replaces all of the city's fire hydrants and valves. The department also maintains more than 200 miles of water pipe in the water distribution system dating back to the late 1800s. Methuen's Water Department has consistently rated in the Top 20% for water quality and reporting in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
