The Methuen Board of Health has passed emergency regulations governing the practice of bodywork and the operation of bodywork establishments within the City of Methuen. These regulations are intended to protect public health and safety, establish clear standards for practitioners and establishments, and ensure that bodywork services are provided in a professional, lawful, and safe manner. These emergency regulations will be in effect until final regulations are passed by the board.
The Board of Health invites residents, business owners, practitioners, and other interested parties to review the full text of the regulations and to submit written public comment for the Board’s consideration prior to the adoption of final regulations. Public input is an important part of this process and helps ensure that the regulations are fair, effective, and responsive to the needs of the community.
All submitted comments will be reviewed by the Methuen Board of Health before final action is taken. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this public review process. Public comment will be accepted until January 31, 2026.
