Crime Analysis Director

Under the supervision of the Support Services Unit Supervisor, the Crime Analyst Director is responsible for collecting, collating, analyzing, and disseminating information through crime analysis. They perform various crime analysis functions such as detecting and reporting crime patterns, correlating suspects with crimes, and identifying crime hot spots.

The Crime Analyst serves to enhance the line operations of the Department by providing information that can be developed into daily operational and tactical plans such as reports, summaries, and maps. They also provide information that transcends strategic planning as it relates to such topics as crime trends, agency resource allocation, crime prevention, and traffic engineering.
